Anisa Sharif
Founder & Principal
After leading a financial company for a decade, Anisa was able to sell it and retire. Determined to give back to her community and seeing her own children excel in hifdh, she founded Ayat Academy to make the journey to hifdh more enjoyable for kids. Her program has helped many students memorize better and improve their pronunciation and recitation skills. Anisa volunteers her time with Ayat Academy, to ensure the success of the students.
Ustadah Alia
Lead Hifdh Teacher
Ustada Alia received a BA in Economics & Accounting. Alia is a hafidha with certificates in Tajweed and several Islamic subjects, including Noorani Qaida in 2021. Active member of the Islamic Outreach Foundation, teaching youth (both Arabic speakers and non Arabic speakers) Islamic studies, Quran recitation, and understanding of the Holy Quran. Her teachings focus on Islamic values, mannerisms, and their application in the daily life.
Ustadah Hala
Hifdh Teacher
Hala has teaching experience for 25 years. Hala has a certificate of teaching Ijazah in hafs and ijazah in the qiraat of those who do صلة. Hala has a ijazah in warsh,Ijazah in the poem of the jazariyyah and the shatibiyya, and Ijazah in a program for the ten qiraat and how to read with makharij and sifaat.
Ustadah Nour
Hifdh Teacher
Nour received a bachelors in architecture. In 2016, Nour was acredited with ijazah and became a Hafidha. She has 8 years of experience in teaching children as well as adults hifdh. Her strength is in helping students solidify their hifdh.
Ustadah Maya
Junior Class Teacher
Maya Al Bezreh began teaching in 2006, as she started to guide small children to recite and memorize Quran at her local masjid. Her love for the Quran increased as time passed by and she received a certification in advanced Tajweed recitation from Al Noor institute from Muscat, Oman. She also attained a Teacher Certification of Al-Qaida An-Nurania from Frurqab Group of education and IT from Jeddah, KSA. Aside from that, she obtained an Ijazah in reading in Tajweed ruling on the narration of “Hafs An Asim”. She also volunteers as a Quranic instructor for young ladies for two years while continuing to teach Quran.
Ustadah Saida
Hifdh Teacher
With a solid foundation in chemical engineering from the university of Constantine, where she taught chemistry lab after graduation, Saida Segueni's journey has been one of the continuous growth and transformation. She graduated after four years from a religious school where she mastered Aqida,Fiqh, Tafsir, Ahkam Tajweed , Arabic, qaidah Nouranya, and Hifdh she holds an in-person Ijaza in Warsh recitation and Hafs, she started teaching Quran in the same school in 2010. In addition to her teaching credentials, she is a holistic medical therapist and a proud member of the Professional Wellness Providers. Today, after 15 years of dedication as a Quran teacher, she finds profound fulfillment with teaching the students at Ayat Academy.
Sarah Alkatib
Secretary
Sarah is currently an undergraduate student studying Biological Sciences. She has aspirations of becoming a dentist, but hopes to excel in her deen at the same time. She enjoys being a part of the Ayat Academy , and helping with administration.
